What’s been getting you through the pandemic? Let me take you back to my cake phase.
As the world went into lockdown in the early spring of 2020, I was looking for moments of escape. One thing I could do was bake and eat cakes.
When my friends began talking about the comfort-food feel of the Great Canadian Baking Show, I began to watch and immediately fell in love with Ann Pornel, one of the show’s hosts. She’s a comedian, she has a killer fashion sense and she is joy personified. What’s not to love?
During that time, as you may know, another thing that got me through was my newfound fandom for BTS. I fell down the rabbit hole and still don’t want to get up.
Fast forward about one hundred newsletters (can you believe it?) and here we are!
